2022 Ride for Liberty Relay

In 2022 we decided we would continue the Liberty Ride relays across the country, with most transfers being made at historic markers and National Parks. We learned a little bit more of American history than what had made it into our history books. Hoping to bring attention to the social injustices these history lessons the relay hand off locations were opening our eyes to, we were honored that the Governors of PA, KY, and Kansas joined us in proclaiming the first Sunday of every May, Ride for Liberty for All Day. Marking what would become our annual Kickoff date also a day in which bikers everywhere are motivated to ride in honor of our Social Justice Heroes.to get the support of any elected official in Washington DC, we were honored to have the NOVA Buffalo Soldiers receive the final transfer of 2022 and accept the role of guardians for what really makes America great. Here are just a few photos from the 2022 Ride for Liberty Relays.

Four regional relays will begin on May 14 and representative riders (and we hope hundreds more) will converge on Washington, D.C. on the same date, sometime in September — we’ll be announcing the exact date later.

This year, two relays carrying the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will begin together at the Statue of Liberty in New York City. The Declaration will head north, looping through New England over the summer before heading back south for the rendezvous in Washington. The Constitution will head south into the southeastern states before heading to DC.

The Bill of Rights relay kicks off in Oklahoma City with a run to the Black Wall Street Rally in Greenwood and Tulsa Oklahoma on May 14. From Tulsa, the Bill of Rights will be relayed west across the southwest, touching New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and into southern California, then up the coast to Oregon and Washington. It will tour the northwest states before heading east across the Rockies and the upper Midwest into the Great Lakes states and then on to Washington.

The Emancipation Proclamation relay will likely begin In TX this year and heading northeasterly through Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and then east through Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina. From there, up the Blue Ridge Mountains to Washington.

Riders will have more than one opportunity to participate this year because the relays make loops, and all the relays will travel through the states around Washington: New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Also new this year, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio will have two relay teams The northern teams in those states will move the Bill of Rights; the southern teams will help move the Emancipation Proclamation.

Also new this yeas is our focus on protecting voting rights. Each of the founding documents will travel with a copy of the 1965 Voting Rights Act and a demand for that states and the federal government enact and enforce voting rights protections for all.

That is all I got for now. Join the Liberty Ride and Ride for Liberty for All with openminded bikers reclaiming patriotism as an American value not a partisan one and rededicating ourselves to aspiring for that more perfect union first envisioned by the founding fathers who risked their lives for the American Dream.
